Visit us at the Ottawa Valley Farm Show – March 14-16 at EY Centre Ottawa

Yes, that’s right. The Ontario Landowners Association will once again be hosting a booth at the popular Ottawa Valley Farm Show. The last Farm Show was in March 2019, so we are anxious to reconnect and share the latest news about private property rights. The show is being held from March 14-16 at the EY Centre, 4899 Uplands Drive, Ottawa, ON.  See www.ottawafarmshow.com for more information.

Come visit us and join the conversation about:

  • Wind turbines and battery energy storage in rural Ottawa – why has here been no cost benefit analysis for 710 industrial wind turbines in rural Ottawa? Why has there been no public consultation? Why is a company installing large batteries in Cumberland?
  • The Patent Project – a Constitutional Challenge to demonstrate that municipal bylaws do not over-ride Crown Land Patents. This court challenge is now at the Ontario Court of Appeal.
  • Halifax Regional Municipality vs. Annapolis Group Inc. – a Supreme Court of Canada (SCC) case in which the OLA was an intervenor. On October 21, 2022, the SCC released a landmark decision which provides further direction on the common law of de facto expropriation, or constructive taking.

Or other property rights issues. We would love to hear from you.
