Want to know where to find us over the next couple of months? We have events happening in August, September, and October. We bring a wealth of experience and knowledge about how you can protect your property from trespass and harassment by government officials. We can show you how to organize your community to fight back against by-laws that infringe on your rights before they become law. Talk to us about Official Plans, designations, and implied consent!

Town Hall Meeting in Goulbourn (Ottawa) on September 11
On Monday, September 11, the Carleton Landowners Association (CLA) will host a town hall meeting at the Goulbourn Municipal Office, 2155 Huntley Road, Stittsville from 7 – 9 PM. The meeting is open to members and non-members. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about the City of Ottawa’s proposed site alteration by-law (find out why we oppose this by-law) and to get an update on other issues the CLA is working on, including:
- Appeal of the Official Plan Amendment 150 with regard to preventing single-lot severances in rural Ottawa (D-5-5 Guidelines)
- OLA’s charter challenge of the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) Act. See fixthelaw.ca for more information.
- The City and the Province’s plans for the Goulbourn Wetlands
Everyone welcome! There is no charge to come to the meeting but we would appreciate a donation to the OLA Litigation Fund to help support the Charter challenge to the OSPCA Act. No donation is too small!
