The OLA ENews – How to submit an article

About the OLA E-News:

Our first issue launched on July 1, 2013. Since then, we’ve published on the first of every month, sharing:

-Updates on projects and court cases we’ve attended

-Who we are, what we do, and how you can help

-OLA events and gatherings

Submission Guidelines (for contributors):

-Deadline: 20th of each month

-Send to: Shirley Dolan — sjdolan@xplornet.com

Include:

Title of your article

Byline (who wrote it) — e.g., By Jane Smith, Lanark County OLA

Format:

-Text in the email body or as an MS Word (or equivalent) attachment

-Optional image(s) in JPG format (no PDFs)

-If you include images, add a short caption and credit if needed 

Length & style: Keep it concise, informative, and/or entertaining.

-For ideas, browse recent posts: ontariolandowners.ca/news-2/ (click any article to see shares/comments; use the site search for topics/authors).

Production Timeline:

1.     Shirley compiles all articles into one package.

2.     She sends the package to our webmaster five business days before month-end for final processing.

o   Example: For the November 1, 2025 issue, the compiled E-News should reach our webmaster five business days before the end of October (October 27, 2025).

Publication:

·       On the first of each month, the OLA E-News is emailed to subscribers.

·       Articles are also posted on our website.
