Get people outside, build community, and earn an income. Those are just a few goals of Campertunity, a web application where landowners can list their land for campers to book. “Landowners own thousands of acres across Canada and we encourage them to introduce their backyard to the camping world,” says Nora Lozano, the co-founder of Campertunity.
On a trip two years ago, Nora camped in a provincial park and woke to the sound of cars and other campers just outside her tent. “There has to be a more peaceful way to connect with nature,” says Nora, “and camping on private land is the answer.”
When asked about liability should someone get injured on your property, Nora says, “Extended insurance can be added to your already existing home insurance for little cost, depending on the insurance company.”
Campertunity launched this month and is growing with landowners nationwide listing their land. The site is easy to use and comes with all the features a landowner needs to manage their bookings, like calendars and a review system. Need more info?
