Elizabeth Marshall is the Director of Research for the OLA and the author of many reports on property rights, as well as her book, Property Rights 101. She was recently instrumental in creating a new Municipal Chapter of the OLA called Grey Highlands.  Her latest work is the legality of Tree and Zoning Bylaws.

Maggie Hope Braun, founder of Gather 2030, a community-based organization of people working with their municipalities explaining the United Nations takeover of local levels of government.  Braun has spoken to municipalities and groups about the consequences of having signed on to the UN Agenda 21 in 1992, including Peterborough, Douro-Dummer, and Kawartha Lakes.

Tom Marazzo, is a retired member in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he achieved the rank of Captain. After retirement, he taught at a Community College in Ontario until September 2021, when he was fired for questioning the legality of the vaccine mandates. In 2022, Tom became a volunteer with the Canadian Trucker Freedom Convoy. His newly released book “The People’s Emergency Act: Freedom Convoy 2022” tells of his experiences during the Freedom Convoy in February 2022 and what followed after. Tom is a leader of the Verterns4Freedom group.

Approximately 14- minute drive from the Douro Community Centre.  There are also lots of eating facilities within walking distance from them … Tim Horton’s, One-Eyed Jack restaurant.

Blue Jay Motel:  Discounted rate will be $115.00 + tax.  Single and double rooms.  The rooms have a microwave, fridge, coffee machine, and tv. The address is 1165 Hwy 7, Peterborough, 705-772-5741. Approximately a 7-minute drive from the Douro Community Centre and from downtown Peterborough. Eating facilities are a little too far for walking.

Robyn’s Motel: Couples $115.00 plus tax. Two single people sharing one room with 2 beds $130.00 + tax. The address is 1136 Hwy 7, Peterborough, 705-745-3225. Approximately a 7-minute drive from the Douro Community Centre and from downtown Peterborough. Eating facilities are a little too far for walking.
