What’s New on our Website?

Published March 1, 2019

If you have visited our website lately, you may have noticed a few changes. We would like to highlight a couple of those changes which we hope will make communicating with us easier and help you with signing up new members.

We have changed the way Comments on our news articles are managed and we think you will find that the new system is much easier to use. To Comment on any of our news articles, you no longer have to login to an account. You simply go to the Comments section of the article (by clicking Read more … and scrolling to the bottom of the article). When you do this, you will see a Disqus diagolue box asking two questions.
By checking the boxes, you will be given access to the Comments area. You can click one of the Emojis or you can type in a response. Please keep your comments respectful and enjoy the discussion.

It is now easier than ever to have your members sign up through the OLA website. Each page has a “Join Us” image in the right top corner. Clicking on the image will take you directly to the online form to complete and pay. Also see the Membership tab, which offers two choice, proceed to online form and payment or download the Mail in Form.

You will also see that we have added a new tab called Property Rights. This tab contains information we gathered during our work on the Property Rights Blue Ribbon Panel in 2017. Click on Property Rights for a definition. Click on Property Rights/Documents to see our Report and summaries of our consultation meetings across Ontario. And finally, click on Property Rights/The Stories to see a sample of
issues published in the Landowner Magazine.
